Terms of Service

The rules of the road. Plain English.

Last updated: April 27, 2026

By downloading or using WalkQuote (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). WalkQuote is operated by Daniel Hohnloser, doing business as WalkQuote ("we," "us," "our"). If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the App.

1. What WalkQuote does

WalkQuote is a tool that helps contractors create quotes from voice recordings. You record a job walkthrough; our AI transcribes the recording and extracts a draft itemized quote that you can edit and send to your clients. The App is a tool — you are responsible for the accuracy of the quotes you send.

2. Your account

You need an account to use WalkQuote. You agree to:

3. Subscriptions and billing

Free tier: 3 quotes per month, free forever. The counter resets on the 1st of each calendar month.

Pro Monthly ($29.99/month): unlimited quotes, branded PDFs, accept tracking, and more. Billed monthly through the Apple App Store. Cancel anytime in iOS Settings.

Pro Annual ($199.99/year): same features, billed yearly. Cancel anytime; access continues through the end of the current billing period.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds are handled by Apple per their App Store policies.

4. What you can do with WalkQuote

5. What you cannot do

6. Your content

You own the quotes, voice recordings, client data, and business information you create or upload to WalkQuote. We don't claim ownership of your content. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as needed to provide the service.

7. AI-generated content

WalkQuote uses third-party AI services (OpenAI Whisper and Anthropic Claude) to transcribe your voice and extract line items. The AI's output is a draft. You are responsible for reviewing every quote before sending it to a client. We make no warranty that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific job.

8. Service availability

We do our best to keep WalkQuote running 24/7, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages, or technical issues may temporarily affect availability. We're not liable for losses caused by service interruptions.

9. Termination

You can stop using WalkQuote and delete your account at any time by contacting support@walkquote.app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice when reasonably possible.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

WalkQuote is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the App will be error-free, that AI extraction will be accurate, or that the App will meet your specific needs.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WalkQuote and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Luis Obispo County, California.
